Hello & Welcome!

Hi there,

Thank you for visiting this blog! I am Yin and am very pleased to have you here. This blog is dedicated to those who are into healthy living. Are you a firm believer of the phrase: you are what you eat? Well, I am and I don't literally mean that if you eat a carrot, then you are a carrot. It's more like the stuff that you eat will somehow affect you in terms of your health, your happiness and your well being.

I have been very fortunate to enjoy home cooked food throughout my childhood. As age catches up with me, so does scientific research and I found out that I have been all along consuming food that are so harmful for my health. It took me 20 years to figure that out and it's high time for a change.

At home, the dishes will not be perfect if it doesn't have Oyster Sauce/ Dark Soy Sauce/ Soy Sauce/MSG / artificial flavourings like Knorr Chicken Cubes. Sounds familiar? Is that what your mum put in your food? I can tell you that was what I had during my childhood years. Truth to be told, the reason why many people rely and use such ingredients are out of:-

a) die hard bad habit (well, they do put it everyday in their cooking. It's like a ritual!)
b) high dependency on extra tasty food (no seasonings, no taste = no likey!)
c) ignorance ( ignorance is bliss eh?)

I'm sure if one is fully aware of the dirty truth about the unhealthy stuff they sell in our local supermarket, then one will try one's level best to avoid all of that junk in their cooking. After all, with the right cooking mindset, you will save you and your family's lives by reducing the chances of diseases such as heart attack, high blood pressure and many more. Do you know that the average life expectancy for a Malaysian is 71-76 years old? Let's beat that age ya'all!

Of course, if you treat your body well with good nutrients and healthy eating habits, you will learn how to live a happier life. You don't have to be bogged down by medications that you know that you could easily have avoided if you took proper care of yourself when you were young. Do it for yourself and do it for your family. Think happy and live healthy!
